Who are we?
We are the Faithful Lodge of Durham, a Freemason Lodge based in Birtley. We meet 10 months of the year and aim to continue the legacy provided by the Durham Light Infantry who began the lodge in 1983.
As a Lodge, we further the legacy of “Celeret Audax,” which means to be swift and true, as well as reliable and determined service which characterised so many of the regiment’s actions. We do this through various work with charities such as Teddies for Loving Care, as well as other campaigns, on a local, national, and international level. We develop a sense of community to uplift and support our members, with a dedication to improving the world around us.
